Birmingham, UK – 7 February 2018: MiX Telematics has emerged as one of Europe's top two telematics solutions providers in an independent and unbiased assessment of Commercial Telematics Vendors conducted by technology-market intelligence specialist, ABI Research. In particular, the report noted MiX Telematics' growing subscriber base – nine percent year-on-year (2016 v 2017), with special reference to its increasing European bus and coach business – its presence in a wide range of vertical sectors; its ability to deliver bespoke solutions; the leverage it generates from having a strong channel partner strategy; and the organisation's financial stability.
"The ABI Report highlights our strengths in a number of key areas of importance to our customer base, which is primarily larger fleets and European-based multi-national key accounts," says Marc Trollet, Managing Director of MiX Telematics (Europe). "In addition to the factors listed above, the report commented on our high long-term retention rates. These are a consequence of the partnerships we build with our customers, where individually-tailored solutions are developed to maximise the benefits they derive from their telematics solution over the long term.”
"Safety is another factor taken into account by the report, and here it highlighted our long tradition in driver safety solutions and our commitment to an open software platform, which is key to enabling integration with a range of third party safety systems, such as onboard cameras."
The ABI Research report encompassed a broad spectrum of commercial vehicle telematics applications including long-haul trucking fleets, short-haul and LTL (Less Than Truckload) trucking fleets, local delivery fleets, utility and service fleets, municipal and government fleets, emergency services fleets, public transportation fleets, private transportation fleets, OEMs, trailer tracking and industrial equipment fleets. To ensure the focus remained solely on commercial vehicles, consumer automotive was excluded.
