Not only did the team attract the attention of exhibition visitors they received a lot of attention from associated media partners too. A press briefing was held on the first day of the show and included editors from publications such as Commercial Motor, Motor Transport, Truck & Driver, International Fleet World, Trucking, Transport Engineer and Roadway, all eager to learn more about the new offerings MiX Telematics is bringing to the fleet telematics market.
“The commercial team did a fantastic job in organising the show, the stand was interactive and inviting allowing delegates to test drive our products. In the past our approach to shows has been somewhat corporate however this year we took a more personable approach which worked well,” comments Steve Coffin, Marketing & Operations Director for MiX Telematics. “We ran a live competition offering guests the chance to win a selection of prizes, and we even had a custom made product mascot which replicated one of our in-cab display solutions. Mr Ribas turned out to be quite the star of the show, he had photographs taken with other exhibitors and many of the visitors, I’m sure he will be back with us in 2015”.
Over the three days staff had the opportunity to speak with many potential clients to recommend a solution for the effective management of their mobile assets and ensure a substantial return on investment.
MiX Telematics contacted Bob Sockl, Event Organiser for the C.V show to find out how the event performed. “Initial indications are that everyone was really happy with the quality and attendance of this year’s show and already we’ve had many bookings and expressions-of-interest for 2015. Generally visitors seemed to have budgets available and were keen to spend compared to last year when visitors were seen to be looking rather than buying. Overall a very good show and we look forward to seeing you all again next year”.
